Staff Accountant Location: Oak Brook, IL (Hybrid)
Compensation: $70,000 – $80,000 annually

We are a privately held hospitality and real estate investment company based in Oak Brook, IL. We own and operate a diverse portfolio of boutique hotels, restaurants, and mixed-use properties across the Midwest. Our mission is to deliver exceptional guest experiences while maintaining a strong focus on operational excellence and sustainable growth.
As our business continues to expand, we are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our finance and accounting team. This role offers the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of accounting operations within a dynamic and growing organization.
Key Responsibilities: - Support the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules in accordance with GAAP.
- Monitor and reconcile accounts receivable, accounts payable, and bank accounts on a regular basis.
- Contribute to budgeting and forecasting by providing accurate and timely financial information.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure proper expense coding and reporting.
- Support external audit requests and help maintain documentation for compliance purposes.
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency within the department.
- Perform additional accounting tasks and projects as assigned by the Accounting Manager or Controller.
Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or professional services setting.
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP/accounting software (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or similar).
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- CPA or CPA-track preferred, but not required.
