Advanced Multi‑Axis CNC Milling Technician

• Take a complex drawing and, with minimal direction, deliver a conforming part every time.
• Set up vertical mills, manage tooling/fixturing, and pull CNC programs—then tune feeds and speeds for peak efficiency.
• Leverage rotary/indexing capabilities for precise 3–5 axis milling.
• Plan your day via the Shop Floor Control System and accurately clock each operation by sequence.
• Inspect to blueprint and GD&T using the right gauges; deburr during process to protect quality.
• Capture learnings by saving updated programs, documentation, and photos.
• Lead by teaching—train operators before production and mentor new hires/apprentices.
• Keep machines healthy with minor preventative maintenance and keep the area neat and safe.
• Collaborate professionally across departments; contribute ideas to the department’s strategic plan; hit agreed goals on time.
• Follow best machining practices and company procedures; uphold ISO9001:2008 and ISO13485:2003 compliance, OSHA standards, and PPE usage.

Your toolkit

• 3–5+ years of experience; vocational schooling or a four-year formal apprenticeship is a plus.
• Expert map-reading of prints with GD&T; strong shop math and inspection knowledge.
• Comfort with CNC programming fundamentals and G & M code; G-Code practices; solid computer skills.
• Confident with 3- and 4-axis machining; basic to intermediate tool probing.
• Ability to follow verbal/written instructions and work from hand sketches; clear communication in basic English.
