Role Adobe Marketo Engage Consultant Integration & Automation Specialist
Location: Washington, DC (Remote)

Key Responsibilities
Integration Architecture & Development
Design, build, and maintain integrations between Adobe Marketo and platforms such as Salesforce, data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift), customer data platforms (CDPs), and business intelligence tools.
Configure and optimize the Marketo Salesforce sync, including field mapping, campaign member management, and data governance.
Implement REST and SOAP APIs, webhooks, and middleware (e.g., Mulesoft, Workato, Boomi, or Zapier) to automate cross-system workflows.
Collaborate with IT and CRM teams to design secure, scalable, and maintainable data exchange processes.
Advise clients on integration best practices and troubleshooting strategies.
Marketing Automation & Campaign Operations
Support clients in architecting and implementing scalable program templates, smart campaigns, and nurture streams within Marketo.
Ensure integrations support accurate campaign tracking, attribution, and lead lifecycle reporting.
Diagnose and resolve sync errors, campaign logic issues, and database anomalies.
Partner with analytics teams to ensure campaign performance and lead data flow to reporting systems.
Lead Scoring Framework Design & Implementation
Design and implement scalable lead scoring models in Marketo that align with each client's go-to-market strategy and sales process.
Collaborate with sales and marketing stakeholders to define behavioral and demographic scoring criteria.
Develop logic for progressive scoring, incorporating engagement patterns such as email clicks, event attendance, and content interactions.
Integrate scoring rules with Salesforce CRM to automate lead qualification, routing, and prioritization for sales follow-up.
Regularly analyze lead conversion data to refine scoring thresholds and decay models.
Document lead scoring methodology and ensure consistency across teams and business units.
Correlate scoring models with opportunity creation and revenue attribution for continuous optimization.
Governance, Testing & Optimization
Create detailed integration documentation, data flow diagrams, and operational runbooks.
Conduct system audits, regression testing, and QA following software updates or data model changes.
Monitor performance metrics and recommend enhancements to improve system reliability and marketing automation efficiency.
Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.).

Required Skills and Experience
9+ years of overall experience in digital marketing, CRM, or marketing technology platforms.
5+ years of hands-on experience with Adobe Marketo Engage, including Marketo Sales Insight and Marketo Sales Connect.
Proven expertise integrating Marketo with Salesforce CRM (Sales Cloud preferred).
Experience with REST APIs, JSON, and middleware/integration tools.
Strong understanding of marketing automation principles, lead lifecycle management, and campaign architecture.
Experience in developing scalable Marketo program frameworks, folder structures, and governance models.
